waterless printing

●What is waterless printing?

Water development - no strong alkali developing chemicals are used.
The waterless version is a water-developing system that does not produce any harmful effluent.
Wastewater after the development process can be discharged into the sewage system; PS plates are obliged to be collected as specially controlled industrial waste due to the generation of strongly alkaline development waste liquid with a PH of 12 or more.
Waterless printing - no fountain solution containing IPA is used.
The silicon rubber layer on the surface of the waterless plate corresponds to the dampening water of conventional water-based plates and repels ink. This eliminates the use of fountain solution containing harmful substances such as etchant or IPA.

Accreditation is based on an application and on-site assessment by GP accreditation assessors, the results of which are reviewed by the GP Factory Accreditation Committee, which is made up of third parties, to make a decision on accreditation. The certification criteria cover 70 items in the offset printing sector, with specific content set from the perspectives of hazardous substance reduction, resource and energy conservation, material recycling and biodiversity conservation (sustainable resource use, 3Rs, biodiversity conservation), and continuity and improvement of initiatives.
